“DECISION TIME”… Luke 7:36-50

INTRODUCTION…

Some decisions are difficult; some are easy.

But we all face decisions that have to be made.

Vs. 36… A Pharisee invites Jesus to his house.

Vs. 37… A sinful woman washes Jesus’ feet.

We can learn from the sinful woman…

– Jesus gives us courage.

– We can discern between truth and error.

– Jesus will not turn us away when we sincerely come to Him.

– We need to weep when we come to Jesus.

– We need to be humble.

– We need to give our best to the Lord in worship.

– Only Jesus can truly meet our deepest needs.

Vs. 40… Jesus once again proves He is God.

Other references… John 10:30, Philippians 2:6,

John 1:12, Colossians 1:16, Hebrews 13:8,

Matthew 28:20, Matthew 12:25, 1 Peter 3:22

Vs. 41-42… Parable of the Two Debtors

Foot-Washing… John 13:2-5

Jesus gives a lesson on humility.

Vs. 47…”But he who has been forgiven little loves little.”

CONCLUSION…

The Gospel message is clear.

Each one of us has a decision to make…

“Do we have a need for Jesus?”

If we say, “Yes,” this brings forgiveness,

eternal life, abundant life, peace.
