Statement of Faith
The Trinity
There is one true God living in three persons; the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. All three share the same divine nature yet each one has a distinct role.
God the Father
God, the almighty and majestic one rules supreme. He is loving, just, faithful, Holy ands creator of everything.
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ, God’s Son, came to earth as man. He lived, dies and rose again as Savior. His sacrifice allows a believer the only way of salvation to be accepted by God eternally. Jesus is all sufficient for man’s needs as Lord, Saviour, friend and sustainer.
Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit comes to live within a believer to instruct, guide, strengthen, uphold, comfort and guarantee the security of the believer.
Mankind
Man was created by God having a free will. When Adam sinned against God He placed all of mankind under the rule of sin and Satan. Each person is a sinner by nature and subject to the power of Satan. God wants man to have close fellowship with Him but sin separates man from God. Only a new life through faith in Jesus Christ can deliver a person from sin and the power of Satan. This new life restores fellowship between God and man for eternity.
The Church
The Church is the universal body of all those who truly believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour. The church’s purpose is to glorify God through praise and worship and sharing the Gospel with others. The church body is to promote faith, hope, love, unity and fellowship.
Baptism & The Lord’s Supper
Baptism by immersion and sharing the Lord’s Supper (Communion) are two ordinances that Christ commanded His Church to observe (do). Baptism is the public declaration by the believer that obedience to Christ is their choice for life. The Lord’s Supper is to remember and celebrate Christ’s victory over death through resurrection and in anticipation of Christ’s return.
Final Destiny
The believer’s destiny is to live triumphantly in close harmony with Christ and to be sure of eternal life in heaven when life on earth is done. Those who do not believe in Jesus Christ for salvation are destined for the lake of fire along with the devil and the angels that followed him.
