“The Good, the Bad, and the Good”
1 Kings 11:1-13
THE GOOD…
– Solomon: the wisest person ever.
– He wrote many proverbs, songs, shared wisdom, very rich.
– Built the Temple.
– Praised God at Temple dedication.
– Was King during Israel’s “Golden Age.”
THE BAD…
– Deuteronomy 17:14-20
– Solomon disobeyed God.
– Solomon fell despite all his wisdom.
– Nehemiah 13:26-27
THE GOOD…
– There is forgiveness in Jesus Christ.
– Encouragement to be obedient:
John 14:21… Matthew 7:24-27… Mark 12:28-34… 1 John 2:3-6

– It doesn’t matter how much we know… what matters is being obedient by putting our faith into action.
